Ben Ballon Hi and welcome to my site. My interests are varied and include music, photography, art, and cinema. I have been playing drums for as long as I can remember and was previously in a Roots Rock band called The Attachments. Over the years, I have played many styles of music from acid jazz, funk, rock to blues and I really enjoy listening to jazz fusion and progressive rock. Must admit, I still love the 80s tunes. Presently I am working part-time at Loblaws and SAIL the Outdoor Store as a sales clerk. I am really enjoying the social aspect of the job and it has allowed me to meet interesting people and make new friends. Previously I worked at the National Arts Centre (NAC) for nine years as a New Media developer. Fresh out of school I landed my first real job at a local animation studio where I spent the next eighteen years in the field of animation and multimedia. While in animation, my main interest was in special effects and graphics. During that time I worked on several projects for television and the big screen for studios in both Ottawa and Toronto. (Internet Movie Database) In the late 90s I found my career moving towards the web and after taking an HTML course at the Ottawa School of Art, I worked at Ginn Photographic working in their digital imaging department and then eventually moved on to the NAC.
